The winter storm, the Whitney Art party and more from the last week!

I think we’re all thankful this week is almost over! It’s been a doozy. Today I’m going to my first volunteer opportunity I signed up for through New York Cares. I figure the best way to put something positive back into the world after such a heavy week is by serving others. Donating is a wonderful way to contribute to organizations you support (and I do this often!), but I’m really looking forward to getting my hands dirty and doing more boots on the ground stuff now that I’m in New York full time. Today I’m preparing food for distribution in support of West Side Campaign Against Hunger! I honestly can’t wait. I’ll report back next week with how it goes, but I’m excited to opt into other opportunities like Senior Bingo, crafting with visually impaired adults and more! If you’re in New York City and want to participate, sign up here, take the online orientation and then you can sign up for whatever opportunities work with your schedule.

In today’s episode I’m also chatting about the Whitney Art Party I went to Tuesday, what I got up to during the winter storm, and more from the last week!

PS: At the start of the episode I chat a bit more about Minnesota, the current state of politics, and the discussion happening around the expectation for influencers to share commentary in times like these. While I’d love for you to listen, if you want to skip this segment, jump ahead to 8:35!
