Being proactive with Prenuvo
Sharing a recap + review of my experience with the whole body MRI scan, plus what I learned about myself in the process!
I first heard about Prenuvo in 2022 when they opened their flagship location in Dallas, and have been wanting to sign up for their full body scan ever since! The company provides radiation-free MRI scans to identify early detection of hundreds of cancers and conditions. While you could certainly do a scan like this through your primary care physician, if you don’t have any symptoms or indicators, it’s incredibly challenging to get a doctor to order one let alone get it covered by insurance. If you did it through your doctor, you could end up paying upwards of $10,000!
If you’re interested in being more proactive about your health and want to know what’s going on in your body right now, a Prenuvo scan can give you a baseline and peace of mind. Even though I really wanted the scan, I’d been putting it off and putting it off - because $2,799 is still a big investment. I was spurred into action after the passing of a family friend my own age, as well as a couple of recent stories from friends my mom’s age who learned about pretty serious health issues from doing the scan. Since I knew I was headed back to New York, I went to the Prenuvo website and booked my whole body scan for Monday, May 12th. You have to pay in full in advance to secure your time slot, so just know that if you’re interested in booking!
Keep reading to hear about my experience at the Prenuvo New York location, what the whole body MRI was like, and some of the more interesting findings from my scan! To be clear, I paid for the scan myself - nothing was comped and I’m not being paid to promote it… just wanting to share my experience in case you’re interested in getting one yourself!
