A comfy travel set I can wear from summer into fall
And it's budget-friendly too! Plus, a poolside look featuring items under $150...
As a content creator I struggle with what to share and when in situations like this, but especially a situation that hits so close to home for me personally. I can’t pretend everything is ok, but also know I have to work and have partnership obligations to uphold this week for Amazon Prime and the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I’m in Paris this week for my birthday, but celebrating anything right now feels wrong. Sharing the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is important for my job, but feels so incredibly unimportant when considering what these families are going through.
My Beck & Call newsletter for paid subscribers was scheduled to go out Sunday and I had the below content scheduled for Monday, but I decided to push them back. I will ultimately have to post content this week that feels trivial and frivolous, but I hope you know my heart and can give me a little grace as I navigate this. If anything, I’m hoping it can serve as a distraction from the news cycle that has felt overwhelmingly tragic over the last several days.
I have been devastated since Friday and will continue to pray for all families impacted by these profound losses.
This burgundy set is another score from Nordstrom's in-house label! I ordered it along with the pieces I shared in this post, and ultimately decided to keep them all. I thought this button-up and matching pant look would be perfect for casual wear this summer, and would be useful as we head into the fall season as well! There's also a matching pair of shorts, but I already have several short sets and thought the pants would be a nice alternative and more ideal for travel days. I love that the cuffs on the shirt are somewhat narrow, allowing me to scrunch up the sleeves without having to roll them! The pants feature large pockets and a stretchy, elasticized waist for a comfortable fit. I can't forget to mention the incredible price point! The shirt is under $100 and the pants are $109... fab! So impressed with the quality. I got the XS in both pieces.
On the other end of the price point spectrum are these Awar sandals by The Row! As a tall gal who now lives in a walking-heavy city, I'm always on the hunt for low-heeled shoe styles. This neutral double-band slide caught my eye immediately! The silhouette is sleek enough to take me from day to night, and the stone-gray color is such a wearable neutral. The fact that they happen to match my Birkin is a very happy accident! These sandals fit true to size.
I'll likely be wearing this set on the plane to Paris or on the flight home next week, so keep an eye out on my Instagram and the LTK app!

Any idea of the inseam on those Nordstrom cropped linen pants? I cannot find mention of those measurements anywhere on their page!
